Banana Split with Hot Fudge Sauce

Updated: Mar 18, 2020

Using fruit or oatmeal as the base for my dessert is hands down, my favorite type of dessert to have! And I'm wondering why the banana split doesn't receive more attention? Fruit? ✅ Ice-cream? ✅ Hot fudge sauce? ✅ A little crunch? ✅ I mean, what's not to love? Plus, you can make this look like a culinary masterpiece that will impress guests in a matter of minutes! Promise, anyone can do this!

Do you own a restaurant style ketchup bottle like this?

If not, grab one next time you're at Walmart or head on over to your amazon app and have one sent over. They're super cheap and great for drizzling sauces to make your dishes look fancy.

First, you'll cook your hot fudge sauce and then pour it into your ketchup bottle. Next, cut that banana in half & cross the two halves over each other. Then add the ice-cream at the intersection where the banana halves meet. Finish it off by drizzling your hot fudge sauce over the top, sprinkling with a few peanuts and topping with a cherry. Voila! You've created a tasty masterpiece that will impress guests!

  • A Medium Banana (110 g)

  • 1 Serving Dreyer’s Slow Churned Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

- Slice banana in half and criss cross the two pieces. Where the banana’s meet add your ice cream. Drizzle with hot fudge. Scatter peanuts on top and add a cherry if desired.
