Crepes

Updated: Apr 27, 2020

My oldest brother served a mission for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in France and when he returned he brought this recipe with him.

IT! IS! AMAZING!

Fact, crepes are one of my favorite foods! However, I will no longer order crepes anywhere because they just aren't very good compared to this recipe! I know, I've turned into a crepe snob! And I'm okay with that, because I can make the worlds best crepes right here in my own home anytime I want! And now you can too!

Thank you Casey, for serving for two years and bringing this treasure home with you when you came.

French Crepes (the best in the world 😉)

- 3 cups flour

- 8 eggs

- 4 cups milk

- 3/4 cup sugar

- 3 Tbsp. oil

- 3 Tbsp vanilla

Mix all ingredients together and here is where the recipe says to let it sit for 1/2 hour before cooking. I don't usually do this! This is something my kids request a lot for school and I don't have time to let it sit for a 1/2 hour before I get to cooking these bad boys, you know?: So anyways, let it sit for 1/2 hour if you have the time, if not ... proceed forward without any fear that they won't turn out.

I have a crepe pan that I bought at William Sonoma, you can find it here and I have found that if I use the 1/3 measuring cup and fill it not quite full, it is the best amount for the perfect crepe!

I prefer my crepe simple with a tiny bit of sugar sprinkled in the middle but you can add so anythings to crepes!

- strawberries and whip cream

- chocolate (try using the homemade hot fudge sauce with some strawberries, this is my sons favorite) and fruit of choice: peaches, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries ...

- Caramel and bananas

- Yogurt

- A lemon curd

- Nutella
