This is one of those family recipes that should pass on from generation to generation. It's amazingly sweet (a lot of sugar will do that😂) so you really don't need a lot for it to satisfy your sweet tooth. When I am craving something really sweet I love to drizzle a little over my ice cream or banana splits. This hot fudge sauce whips up in just a matter of minutes and uses things you probably have sitting in your pantry!
The best thing about this hot fudge sauce is that's it's a great crowd pleaser! It can get the kids excited for dessert or you can use it when guests are coming over and everyone will love it.
1 Cup Sugar
1/3 Cup Cocoa
Pinch of Salt
4 Tbsp. Flour
1 Tbsp White Karo Syrup
1 Cup Boiling Water
1 tsp. Vanilla
In a small sauce pan combine sugar, cocoa, salt and flour.
In a separate bowl or pan bring water to a full boil either in the microwave or on the stove top.
Add boiling water and karo syrup to the sugar mixture and stir until well combined.
Turn heat on to medium and continue to stir sauce until it thickens and boils.
Once it reaches a boil remove from heat and add vanilla.
