I was standing in the bathroom on Saturday, blow drying my hair, when I had the best idea ever come to me!
AN APP!!!
An app for the program I am writing! And seriously, ideas just flooded in! It could be SO MUCH FUN!! I feel like a giddy school child right now!
When you sign on you could create an emoji person that represents you. Just like they have now, you pick the body type, the hair, the eye color and shape of your brows, what clothes you're wearing, all of it! And then that little mini you welcomes you every time you open the app.
In the top right corner would be the three little mini bars that bring up the menu and on the drop down menu there would be the different chapters. For the month when you have to record your feelings, there would be a calendar and a place to do that. There would be links to the scriptures and journal talks that go with each lesson and empty journal spots for people to record their thoughts.
And you could create your own tool box. And each time you learn one of the new emotional "tools" you add it to your tool box! And then when you're done with the program you can come back anytime, open up your tool box and review the things you've learned. And you could chose, do you want your tool box to show you everything so you can review it in an orderly fashion? Or do you want your tool box to surprise you with something? So it would be like opening your tool box and looking through it in an orderly fashion, or opening it and randomly picking something out. But either way, it would be there, at the ready, with all of your tools at your disposal!!
And this is awesome, because even when the program is done you still have the app, you still have your tool box, and you can come back and use and review those tools anytime you need! And at that point it could one used as a journal. We could make it combine as a journal, one where you are always using the tool of being self aware!! Gah, I love this idea! I am getting so exited as I sit here and write!
Under setting boundaries, you could play the different tuning forks and hear what they would sound like, and see what happens when you strike your own fork. And the tornado, oh my gosh, how cool would it be to have the tornado swirling and picking up debris as it went!! And when you open your tool box and the tornado comes out, I can see what it would look like, it would be so cool! Yes, so many fun ways to make these emotional tools come to life!
And when it came time to make your monster, you could design one! There would be different body shapes to chose from, different colors, horns, spikes, spots, ugly teeth, different arm, leg, eye, ear and tongue selections. You could totally customize your monster!! It would be INTERACTIVE! It would be FUN!!!
And I go through spurts where I am like, "Oh, this can totally happen! With God, I can totally make this happen!" And then other times where I'm like, "Who do I think I am? Thinking I can really pull this off? I don't know how to make an app or how to even start that!"
But the thing is, I am here! I have committed! I have given up teaching and have turned my full attention to this and I am giving it my all. If it doesn't work, I will be heartbroken, it's true! But if it does work, and it does help people, how amazing would that be?!?!?!
So I ask God for help! Every day! I pray to Him and tell Him what it is I want, what it is I feel passionate about and then I move forward. Only time will tell, but until then, I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THE POSSIBILITIES!!!!
